On 10 March 2015, Nagase Osamu, a Council member of Inclusion International, was recognized and awarded for his support to the promotion of family-based organizations in China. Nagase is also a visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan.
Ms. Dai Rong, acting director of National Parents Organizations Association (NPOA: Inclusion China) awarded a certificate of appreciation to Nagase at the second annual conference of Inclusion China in the historic city of Xi’an, China. Inclusion China includes Rong Ai Rong Le (RARL), a Beijing-based family-based organization. Nagase made a presentation introducing Inclusion International at the conference and encouraged Inclusion China to be active in the regional and international network.
As our Asia Pacific Regional Representative, Nagase has been working with the family-based organizations in China. Receiving the certificate, Nagase said
I feel very honored and moved by this gesture and look forward to our further collaboration”.
A close partner of Inclusion China, China Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Network (CIDDN) organized the East Asia Disability Services and Inclusive Development Forum on the prior day, 9 March 2015 in Xi’an, China and Nagase made a presentation on “Autonomy of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities”. The forum was attended by Mr. Zhang Baolin from our full member from China as well as representatives of PAPID, our associate member from Taiwan.
