New Zealand’s TV production company Attitude has made a documentary about Robert Martin, our former self-advocate representative for Asia-Pacific and honorary member.
Robert grew up in an institution and now lives independently and is married. He has played a role in the closing of institutions here in NZ, and was part of the UN’s Convention on the rights of people with disabilities.
He travels the world, advocating for people with disabilities. In this story we follow him to Australia where each year he presents the Robert Martin Award, and as he joins the fight to close Victoria’s remaining institutions.
