Your Guide to the Conference of State Parties 2021

The COSP14 will be held largely online.  From 15 to 17 June 2021. The virtual setting enables everyone in our network the opportunity to participate in COSP! You can watch the conference live here.

This year, the overarching theme is Building back better: COVID-19 response and recovery; Meeting the needs, Realizing the rights and Addressing the socio-economic impacts on persons with disabilities.

Your COSP Calendar

  • 14 June: Civil Society Forum.
    Fatma Wangare, will be speaking on behalf on II in the session “Our Communities “IRL” In Real Life: The Right to Live Independently in the Community ” . Her session will start at 11:00 AM EST.
  • 15 June: Opening of the conference, General debate.
    Sue Swenson, President of Inclusion International, will deliver a short video statement during this session. It will start at 10am EST.
  • 16 – 17 June: Roundtable discussions, the interactive dialogue with the UN system, and the closing.
    Laura Ximena, from our member Asdown Colombia, will be speaking during the third roundtable on the right to education. This will be Thursday 17 from 10am EST.
