PAPID Active with CRPD Review of Taiwan

Parents Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PAPID), our  member in Taiwan, took an active part in the independent review of the initial report of the Republic of China (Taiwan), outside of the UN system, which  concluded in Taipei on 3 November 2017.

Diane Richler, Inclusion International Past President,  attended the event together with Nagase Osamu, former Asia Pacific Regional Representative, who participated as the Chair of the International Review Committee. The review allowed for 3 days of constructive dialogue with the government and sessions with the civil society, including organizations of persons with disabilities. The concluding observations were announced at the end fo the 3 day event.
