Once per quarter, Africa’s Regional Representatives to Council bring together the members in Africa to share and learn about a different topic.

On March 22nd, the regional meeting will focus on inclusive participation and including self-advocates in the work of organisations in Africa.

Inclusion International members in Africa will come together to share their successes and challenges with fully including self-advocates in the work of organisations in Africa.

Members will also discuss how they are using the Listen Include Respect guidelines to support their journey towards becoming a fully inclusive organization.

During the meeting, members will discuss topics like:

  • How members support self-advocates to be involved in decision-making in their organisations
  • What members do to make sure self-advocate leaders are fully included and can participate equally
  • Big challenges that members face in making sure their organisations are fully inclusive
  • What work our network should be doing to invest in strong self-advocate leaders in Africa

The meeting will take place on Zoom. Inclusion International members in Africa can reach out to Kimber for more information or to access the Zoom link.
