Self-advocates in our network will host a webinar to share a new set of resources created by and for self-advocates.

The webinar will take place on May 14th at 14:00 BST. To see what time this is where you are, click here.

Interpretation will be provided in English, Spanish & Arabic.

These tools focus on the big global issues that affect the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The resources were developed by self-advocates in our network with support from Inclusion International, UNICEF, and the German government (BMZ). They cover 11 important topics:

  • Inclusive Employment
  • Education
  • The Right to Decide and Inclusive Participation
  • Community Care and Support
  • Social Protection
  • Healthcare
  • Accessibility
  • Intersecting Discrimination
  • Climate Change and Humanitarian Response
  • Technology
  • Ageing

What to Expect

In the webinar, you’ll hear directly from self-advocates who helped create these tools. They will:

  • Explain how the tools were developed
  • Share how their groups are already using them
  • Give ideas for how your group can use the resources
  • Answer questions from participants

This is an opportunity to connect with other self-advocates around the world, learn from each other, and build stronger messages on the issues that matter most.
