The Families Summit is a gathering of families of people with intellectual disabilities. It is a space for families to connect, share experiences, and work together to make inclusion a reality.
What is the Families Summit?
The Families Summit is a one-day event before the World Congress. It is a space for families to:
- Share your stories, challenges, and successes
- Talk about the role families play in advocating for inclusion
- Learn about what works in different countries
- Support each other and build a stronger family network around the world
Families are at the heart of our movement, and this is a space to come together, learn, and inspire one another.

Why should I come?
The Families Summit is a chance to:
- Meet other families who share your experiences
- Talk about the issues that matter most to families of people with intellectual disabilities
- Learn about solutions and ideas that have worked in other countries
- Support each other and share what you have learned
The Families Summit will help families come together to make sure their voices are heard throughout the World Congress.
How do I sign up?
If you are attending the Families Summit, you will register as part of your World Congress ticket. You do not need to sign up separately.
