Webinar: Lessons from the 2023 GEM Report on technology in education
Virtual
The Global Education Monitoring Report and Inclusion International are organizing an event to talk about the important findings and suggestions from the 2023 GEM Report. The report focused on using technology in education for students with disabilities.
The event will happen on 26 September 2023 at 2:00pm – 3:30pm BST / 9:00am – 10:30am EST.
People at the event will discuss how different types of technology can help students who face difficulties in getting an education. They will share good examples of what’s working and talk about the problems that still need to be solved.
People with intellectual disabilities often find it hard to get a good education. But technology can make learning easier. This can give them a fair chance to learn and also help them become more independent and included in society.
The 2023 GEM Report says that when classrooms use technology and tools that work for everyone, it benefits all students.
These tools can make a big difference in their education, however, there are still some challenges to overcome.
People at this event will:
- Present the findings of the 2023 GEM Report on technology in education
- Highlight examples from around the world of inclusive technologies.
- Discuss how to overcome barriers to education for learners with disabilities using technology
