The Self-Advocacy Summit is a special event for self-advocates and their supporters. This is your chance to connect with self-advocates from around the world, share your experiences, and talk about what matters to you.

What is the Self-Advocacy Summit?

The Self-Advocacy Summit is a one-day event before the World Congress. It is a space just for self-advocates (and their supporters). This is a chance for self-advocates to:

  • Share ideas and learn from each other
  • Talk about what is working in different countries
  • Work together on the big issues that are important to self-advocates everywhere

The Self-Advocacy Summit is organised by self-advocates. It is a space for your voices to be heard and for you to lead.

Who can come?

Why should I come?

The Self-Advocacy Summit is a unique opportunity to:

  • Meet other self-advocates who care about inclusion
  • Share your story and hear from others
  • Learn new ways of advocating for your rights
  • Work together to find solutions to challenges self-advocates face

The ideas and discussions from the Self-Advocacy Summit will help guide the conversations at the World Congress.

How do I sign up?

If you are attending the Self-Advocacy Summit, you will register as part of your World Congress ticket. You do not need to sign up separately.
