Inclusion International is pleased to share our 2024 Annual Report.
This report shows the progress we made last year in our mission to promote inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
The stories and achievements in this report show what can happen when members come together for inclusion.
In 2024, Inclusion International continued to advocate for the rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families worldwide.
Our members continue to lead this work, taking action to ensure people with intellectual disabilities are not left behind.
Highlights
- We strengthened our advocacy work on important topics like inclusive education and closing institutions, and got more involved in the care and support agenda
- We built up our work on inclusion in emergency situations, working with our members on inclusive education in emergencies and inclusive humanitarian action
- We strengthened the work of our members, supporting our members to deliver work in their communities in 19 countries through 6 different projects.
As we reflect on our big successes in 2024, we are looking forward to bringing our network together in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates for our World Congress in September 2025.
Our World Congress gives our members a chance to connect, look back on our successes from the last year and beyond, and share learning about how we move forward inclusion around the world.
There is still more work to do. We invite you to read the achievements in this report and join us on this important journey.
We thank our members for their strong work toward our shared goal of inclusion and equality for people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Last year, we saw again that when our network is active and connected, we can have real impact.
Our approach is simple and strong: support members to lead, and help them connect with each other.
Our work was grounded in people’s lives and led by our members.
