Co-opted Officers support our organisation to develop our strategy, oversee the performance of the organisation and help to promote, advocate for and develop our network.
Who is Richard Bennett?
Richard Bennett is retired and now spends his time volunteering and helping local charities.
He used to be a freelance consultant, helping groups of civil society organisations work together. Civil society organisations are groups of people working together on community issues and social causes, like charities and non-profits.
Richard previously worked with Inclusion International on membership and governance, and also with the International Disability Alliance and other international networks.
Before freelancing, Richard was the General Secretary of BOND, a group of UK-based international development organisations. He was also the Chair of the Make Poverty History campaign in 2005. Earlier in his career, Richard worked for international non-governmental organisations (INGOs), living in the Philippines and Malawi, and traveling to many other countries.
