During COVID-19, people with intellectual disabilities lost their access to support and health, were not given accessible information, lost their jobs, and many people both in and out of institutions lost their lives.

Families lost their access to support and services and many were forced out of work to take on full time caregiving roles.

As people with intellectual disabilities and their families were excluded from their communities and from pandemic response efforts during COVID-19, our members have advocated to their governments for a more inclusive future after COVID.

This report documents the experiences of people with intellectual disabilities and their families around the world during COVID-19 and the recommendations our members made for a more inclusive world.

Our members are united in their calls for more inclusive post-COVID communities, and this report represents their their common messages and joint call to action for governments.
