Inclusion International members will be coming together for an Extraordinary General Assembly (GA) in September 2025.
This Extraordinary General Assembly will be happening on September 18, 2025, in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
To make the most of the time our network has together in person in Sharjah, our President, Sue Swenson, has called this extraordinary General Assembly to have a conversation about leadership.
An Extraordinary General Assembly is an extra General Assembly that happens in between the usual every-other-year schedule.
Agenda and Supporting Papers
Agendas and supporting papers are always shared one month before an Inclusion International General Assembly.
This makes sure that members know what to expect at the General Assembly, and have plenty of time to think about questions that they might have in advance.
You can read the agenda for the General Assembly here – this is the plan for what will happen in the meeting.
There will be two parts to the General Assembly – reporting, and then a workshop.
First, we plan to hear reports from the Officers:
- An update about the work of our organisation from our President and Vice President
- Treasurer’s Report (available here in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic).
- Secretary General’s report (available here in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic).
- Membership Committee report (available in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic).
Then we will have a workshop about the future of leadership within our network. It is an important time to have this conversation, because in 2026, we will be looking for a new President Elect for Inclusion International.
You can read the background paper for this workshop here (available in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic).
A “background paper” is a document that people read to prepare for a meeting. This background paper will help you to prepare for the workshop.
It includes the questions you will be asked to respond to during the workshop, so please read it ahead of time and come ready to share your thoughts.
