Self-Advocacy in Southern Africa
- Ending discrimination
- Africa
Inclusion International is working with our members in Zambia and Angola to create strong self-advocacy groups.
This project is run in an inclusive way, based on the Listen Include Respect guidelines. This means that self-advocates are in the lead on the project, and everything is done in an accessible way – from our project planning to our reports.
Goals
The big goal of this project is to support Inclusion Africa and its members in Southern Africa create strong groups of self-advocates who can start making change in their communities.
As part of the project:
- People with intellectual disabilities will be supported to become self-advocates

- OPDs will have strengthened capacity in supporting emerging self-advocacy groups
